The mat is incredibly durable with a density of 950 kg/m³, as well as flexible and simple to install with straightforward methods.
The mat protects the waterproofing membrane from the nasty effects of point loading, abrasions, blunt materials, concrete casting and backfilling applications. It can also be utilised as long-term, permanent protection to increase membrane lifespan.
Perfect for various horizontal and vertical applications, Wallbarn's Protecto-Mat protects green roofs, podium decks, inverted roofs, regularly trafficked roofs, parking areas and walkways. It is also compatible with underground waterproofing for basements, foundation walls, drains, ditches and tunnels.
Crafted from a rubber crumb sourced from recycled tyres, this mat is supplied in a non-rigid roll. The sustainability of this mat is commendable, as is the durability, thanks to the bound rubber crumb particles and polyurethane resins. Together they create a robust membrane that doesn't delaminate under elemental exposure, is non-toxic to handle, lightweight, and tough enough to withstand heated materials and concrete pour.
