Description

This solid, durable structure features 34mm square framing overlaid with pine cladding boards and the floor and roof are manufactured from solid sheet OSB board. All the timber elements of this workshop have been dip treated with a base coating which means, once fitted, it is ready for you to add a topcoat after assembly.

All the fixed windows are positioned down one side of the building to ensure that even if your shed needs to be situated against a hedgerow or wall, the outward-facing panel will let maximum daylight flow into the space. For additional protection, each window is fitted with safety glazing.

The generous eaves height and large double doors enable trouble-free access to your shed, no matter how tall you are. The doors are equipped with a hasp and staple catch as standard, ready for your own choice of padlock to protect your belongings.

The imperial measurements are rounded, so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment.

Base note:
Before you assemble your building, you will require a base that is level and flat to a suitable size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of the building.
Please ensure your base is square, level and flat whether this is a concrete base, paving slab or on bearers. This ensures the building is level and stable and avoids excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting/long-term damage. The building staying level also means the panels will fit squarely together, preventing gaps and ensuring the doors close properly.
Timber note:
A good quality timber garden building starts with quality timber. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are constructed using high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown which means far less warping and knots occurring, less sap and tighter grain. In some cases, slight splits or 'shakes' may be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not impact the performance of your garden building.
